About twenty cases and three deaths due to an unidentified disease have been recorded since March 3 in the locality of Madau, near the center of Nyangara, located in the Haut-Uele province.

The doctor in charge of the Nyangara health zone explains that this disease is characterized by the appearance of spots on the body and is similar to chickenpox.

He added that this alert was raised so that the government could take action to prevent and ensure that this disease is eradicated, given that up to the present moment no measures have been taken by the government to identify this disease.

The health zone official emphasized that nurses have organized work sessions to raise awareness in the health area of this entity about hygiene as part of the disease's prevention.

They expressed their concern about the seriousness of this disease because once it spreads in large populations, they will have difficulty controlling it.
