Grâce Nkuanga Masuangi Bilolo received 23 votes, against 16 votes for the outgoing governor Guy Bandu Ndungidi. If the Court of Appeal definitively confirms these results, the new governor will finally return to the summit of the province. Grâce Nkuanga is well-versed in the workings of Kongo Central, having served as deputy governor under the administration of the late Jacques Mbadu Nsitu in 2018. He thus becomes the 35th governor of Kongo Central.
