The ceremony took place at the Ministry of the Interior and Customary Affairs located in the Lingwala district, in Kinshasa. On the same occasion, a batch of 51 pickups was handed over to the police officials for troop mobility across the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

"Through my Chief of Staff, a first batch of 38 function vehicles (Fortuner) was delivered this Tuesday, March 5, 2024, to the General Officers of the Congolese National Police. Another batch of 51 Toyota Land Cruiser pickups, already available in Kinshasa, will be distributed to the major units in the capital and the provinces in order to facilitate the mobility of operational troops," wrote Peter Kazadi, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior and Customary Affairs.
