According to the former Prime Minister and Senate candidate in the Kasai Oriental province, provincial elected officials are no longer free to make their own choices, which is why he is denouncing the corruption and manipulation that is rampant in their political environment.

Through this statement, Samy Badibanga spoke out about the "flaws in the current electoral process" in that part of the province, which seems to him "prone to corruption and other illegal practices contrary to fair and transparent elections."

He does not stop there; he also denounces the maneuvers of political parties and groupings that are trying to coerce provincial deputies into voting for one candidate or another, and this hinders their freedom of conscience and their ability to represent the interests of the people with dignity, he declared.

He continues by expressing his concerns about the credibility, impartiality, and independence of the Constitutional Court. According to him, the review of the judgments recently issued by the High Court was done in violation of Article 168 of the Constitution.
