On Tuesday, March 5, in Kisangani, the Provincial Interior Minister of Tshopo, Jean-Norbert Lokula, carried out the official presentation of two groups of militia involved in the violence in the Mbole-Lengola interethnic conflict.

These attackers number 300, divided into two groups. In the first group, there is one suspect accused of amputating both arms of a 7-year-old girl, and the second is presented as a fetishist in the service of a group of operational assailants in the Tshopo.

Jean-Norbert Lokula, indicated that these two assailants have been referred to the justice system to be judged.

He also added that security services arrested these two groups of assailants to conduct a thorough investigation with the girl victim of the amputation. And the girl confirmed that it was these assailants who had amputated her arms.

Jean-Norbert Lokula, further highlighted that the alleged fetishist was arrested in Kisangani in the Segama II district, with his belongings, including poison-tipped arrows.

This provided an opportunity for the provincial Interior Minister to call on the population to report any suspect to the Police.
