Through the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development, the DRC has announced the lifting of this suspension, which followed investigations by the commission for the control of redwood exploitation in that part of the country.
As of November 7th, the forest operators of Haut-Katanga can sell redwood without any worry.

This comes after it was hit with a conservatory measure due to certain irregularities, including chaotic and fraudulent forestry exploitation.
