A delegation from the Central African army's general inspection, headed by Division General Doctor Bruno Léopold Izamo, paid a visit on Monday, March 11, to the General Inspection of the Armed Forces of the FARDC in Kinshasa.

Division General Doctor Bruno Léopold Izamo explained: "Our country has experienced several political winds, it is in the process of seeking to rebuild its future according to the vision of the head of state and supreme chief of the armed forces, in his national security policy. It is within this context that we have chosen the DRC to come and draw inspiration from your experiences regarding your organization and your functioning."

He further specified: "We want to review the legal text of our general inspection of the Central African National Army and we need the experience of other inspections like that of the Democratic Republic of the Congo."

For the Central African general officer, this visit will help their army "to better construct the control and governance tool that is the general inspection of the army."

Expressing his satisfaction after the visit to the control room, he noted: "We have discovered here an institution organized at a very good level with a work plan. We just came out of the operations room in perpetual control. The plan we have discussed will consolidate us in the vision of our general inspection."

According to General Léopold Izamo, more than 200 trainees are in training in the Schools and Institutes of the DRC at various levels.

The inspector general of the FARDC, Army General Gabriel Amisi Kumba, for his part stated that his institution was honored by the visit of his Central African counterpart. This visit is part of the 2023 action plan, to strengthen the friendly ties between the two structures. This visit, postponed several times due to scheduling reasons, materializes today and will allow our two institutions to share their respective experiences.

Army General Amisi Kumba took this opportunity to offer wise advice to his guest and his team. He asked them to properly carry out their missions. This, he said, requires notably courage, rigor, love of the country, and determination.

Before leading this delegation to a meeting with the chief of general staff of the FARDC as well as the Deputy Prime Minister of Defense, a video projection of the two structures was organized.
