Initially planned for this 17 January, the repatriation of the remainders of Patrice-Emery Lumuba is once again deferred for June 2022.

The principal private secretary of the Head of State, Guylain Nyembo, advance the "new threats posed by the pandemia of Covid-19 and consequently, the delay accumulated in the adjustment of the sites", as causes of this new postponement.

And yet in Brussels where should begin the ceremonies this 8 January, all was ready.

"I was informed by the embassy of Belgium. The problem arises at us. It would have been liked that the things are made with dignity and respect ", regrets Juliana Lumumba, girl of the national hero.

The new dates planned for the ceremonies go from 20 to June 29, 2022. The first two days are reserved for the ceremonies in Brussels. The two last in Kinshasa where these relics represented by only one tooth of Lumumba will be kept. The stage of Kinshasa will be preceded by the ceremonies at Lumumbaville Onalua (Sankuru), Kisangani and Shilatembo and Lubumbashi.
