"The danger was constant. As soon as night fell, we were forced to stay indoors, doors closed. Motorcyclists often avoided this route because of the insecurity. Now, we can fully enjoy our neighborhoods," a local resident reported.
And to add:
"These armed gangs had a grip on the residents of neighborhoods from Kindele to Mont-Ngafula and from Mbanza Lemba to Lemba, who now feel a sense of security."
In addition to the residents of the previously mentioned neighborhoods, students from the University of Kinshasa and the Higher Institute of Medical Techniques (ISTM) benefit from the presence of law enforcement forces near their public institutions.
"We thank our authorities for this initiative. After extra classes, we sometimes have to attend tutoring sessions, which means we get out around 8 pm. Going home alone was not a good option, we had to form a group of 10 or 20 people to feel safe," an ISTM student said with a smile.
It should be noted that another police station will soon be installed on the same road, at Zahabu, an avenue located between the University of Kinshasa and ISTM Kinshasa.

Kinshasa: two police stations installed along Kimwenza road
Internet
KinshasaSociety - The Congolese National Police has erected two posts along the Kimwenza road, between the Higher Institute of Medical Techniques of Kinshasa (ISTM/KIN) and the Triangle Campus. This initiative aims to protect the population and their property, as well as to combat the persistent insecurity fueled by the phenomenon commonly known as Kuluna, as observed this Thursday, April 18 by a reporter from digitalCongo.cd.
