The presence of the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, to Kinshasa has given the opportunity to the press to question the president of the Republic, Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi, about the sit-in observed for one week in the town hall of Beni by pupils.

The latter claim the promised presence of the Head of State in their area, victim of fatal violences.

The Head of State sees in this action, "a certain handling of the children by adults for policies purposes". However, he reaffirmed his commitment to come to settle in Beni at the convenient period, "but not without preparing first ".

"I promise you, dear children, as a father first, but then as Head of State, that I will bring the solutions to your problems", the Head of State promised to the youth of Beni.

Felix Tshisekedi supported that he is taking a certain number of measures to eradicate the cases of insecurity in North-Kivu, South-Kivu and Ituri.
