Her office confirmed in a message to the press that before completely closing the chapter of consultations, the head of the Congolese government will consult with women's organizations in their diversity this Saturday, April 20th. As a reminder, it took 7 days for the Prime Minister to consult with nearly 40 political groupings that hold the majority in Parliament, from April 13th to 19th, 2024. And it was an opportunity for her to set the objectives for the next Government of the Republic, with the aim of working with men and women who demonstrate competence, political weight, geopolitics, gender balance, and integrity, which undoubtedly should appear on the list of possible ministers.

Judith Suminwa insisted to her guests on the need to drastically reduce the lifestyle of institutions because, the Prime Minister emphasized on several occasions that the size of the next government will undoubtedly be reduced.

In terms of priorities, the Government will aim to put an end to the war raging in the east of the Republic and all the other hotspots of tension observed across the national territory, and that other social issues will be at the heart of her action, she indicated.

However, a priority will be to develop the agricultural sector, notably through the construction of agricultural feeder roads and by facilitating access to basic social services such as healthcare, education, and many others, she clarified.

Appointed on April 1st by presidential decree, Judith Suminwa is the first woman to lead the Congolese government since the country's independence in 1960.
