The democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has just recorded its first case of death of the disease of Coronavirus.
This confirmation is of the Minister of Health, Dr. Eteni Longondo who in his turn quoted the national Institute of biomedical research (INRB) which moreover confirmed that the number of people tested positive contaminated of this pandemia in DRC passes to 23. The Minister responsible of Health did not give further information on the name of the victim. But according to information, the concerned person who was 43 years old, was interned at the Cinquantenaire hospital located in the township of Kasa-Vubu in Kinshasa.
He moreover confirmed, quoting the same source, 5 new cases in our country, by pointed out that they all are Congolese. The teams take care of them ".
Dr. Eteni who also announced that as of this Saturday, two toll-free numbers 109 and 110 should be operational for alerts, underlined on private radio station that the first test operated on the first patient is negative. One will carry out a 2nd test, according to the protocol, before making the decision to release him".
The case of the death of the disease of Coronavirus in DRC is 3rd known in sub-Saharan Africa after those of Burkina Faso and Gabon.
