Denise NyakeruTshisekedi visited the company's rooms and discovered the products and technologies developed there, including screening for sickle cell disease. As part of the Denise Tshisekedi Foundation which focuses on four areas: health, education, women's empowerment and the fight against violence against women, the first Congolese lady was very interested in innovation of this company.

Zentech's quick and easy tests can determine whether or not a person has sickle cell disease in minutes with a small drop of blood from the patient's finger. This technique would increase awareness and detection in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the most third country affected by this genetic disease in the world, after India and Nigeria.

About 20 million Congolese carry the sickle cell gene and can transmit the disease to their children. Since 2016, Zentech has a permanent office in Kinshasa. She develops a battery of three tests. These are designed to detect the risk of sickle cell disease, G-6-PD deficiency and TSH testing in newborns.
