The young Congolese ladies were supposed to play against Kenya's starlets on Sunday, February 4, 2024, in the second matchday of these qualifiers, but to no avail.

According to the Team Media Officer of the DRC's U17 women, the Congolese Federation withdrew citing a lack of financial means to participate in the qualifiers and, consequently, the entire competition.

The U17 Women's World Cup will bring together 16 teams divided into four groups of four. The winner will succeed Spain, who won the last edition held in India in 2022.
