Only Congolese citizens with Congolese parents are eligible for identification. They must provide details such as their province of origin, territory, sector, groupement, village, as well as information about their grandparents. Other details include the address, height, contacts, email address, nationality, and the names and surnames of grandparents on both sides, even if they have passed away. Information on the level of education and employment situation is also requested.

On the national identity card, only the name, first name, date and place of birth, address, and photo are visible; other information can be accessed via a QR code scan.

To be identified, it is necessary to present an identity document among the following: driving license, voter's card in good condition, birth certificate, supplementary judgment, passport or declaration from three witnesses.

It is important to note that this card has been carefully designed to prevent any alteration thanks to very advanced cutting-edge technology.
