After the opening words spoken by the Minister of Communication and Media, Patrick Muyaya, followed by interventions from partners, two important panels marked this gathering of media professionals.

At the end of these workshops, some recommendations were put forward for the government and the media industry. In terms of the government, it was asked to support female journalists in their profession, to encourage them, and to defend their rights; it was also suggested to the national executive to improve the quality of access to information for vulnerable people; to provide financial assistance to media companies to combat hate speech and misinformation.

Media companies are advised to have programs that give space to vulnerable people and to work towards empowering women within their organization.

Finally, donors are called upon to support women in the media through workshops, symposiums, fairs, and with the various stakeholders in this sector.

The 5th media women's fair was organized by the Congolese Association of Women in the Print Media (ACOFEPE) in partnership with Handicap zero and the Federation of Community Radios of Congo.

This media women's gathering benefited from the technical and financial support of partners including Internews, the Embassy of Sweden, and USAID.
