Appointed as informer on February 7, the General Secretary (SG) of the UDPS, Augustin Kabuya, began consultations with the political class in Kinshasa on Thursday, February 15, with the goal of forming a majority to establish a "governmental coalition."

He explained to journalists that a team of experts is scheduled to assist in identifying the majority coalition in the National Assembly necessary to form the government, noting: "A panel of experts will help to carry out the work properly; invitations will be sent to personalities, parties, and political groupings."

The SG of the UDPS announced: "The final report will be made to the head of state, and a large coalition borne out of a broad parliamentary majority will emerge," before committing to "make contact with all the different political forces represented in the National Assembly."
