The appointment of the first is imminent after the end of the mission of the informant Augustin Kabuya since Wednesday, March 27.

After this phase, which lasted a month, the informant has had contacts with the leaders of different political groupings represented in the National Assembly with the aim of securing a parliamentary majority in view of forming the government.

According to comments in the circles of the Sacred Union, the platform of President Tshisekedi and in those of the UDPS, his political party, the informant is currently engaged in polishing his report, which should land imminently on the table of the head of state who will draw the conclusions and appoint the government's formateur. In these circles, it is observed, the debates are focusing notably on the size of the Government, the distribution of portfolios.

The Udps believes it deserves the lion's share when it comes to the allocation of positions in the government, given that with 69 deputies, it comes in first place in the list of political formations that have won the most seats in the National Assembly. It is followed by the UNC of Vital Kamerhe (36 deputies) and the AFC/ A of Bahati Lukwebo (35).

But even within this ruling party, there are frictions between certain executives. Everyone wants to find a place in the government, or if not, at the head of portfolio companies or other state structures.
