Three people were killed and several others injured in an attack on a Chinese mining company on the night of Wednesday, October 26 to Thursday, October 27, following an exchange of gunfire between the assailants and the police and army personnel guarding the TSM-Mining gold mining company in Kachemba, in the Ngandja area of Fizi territory.
According to local sources, the Administrator of Fizi territory, Sammy Kalondji, confirmed that three armed criminals were killed, three soldiers and two police officers were injured. Two weapons and the attackers' phones were recovered.
The Administrator of Fizi territory further explained that the phones of the criminals were seized in order to gather information to dismantle this network that is causing insecurity.
