"There is a phenomenon in the city of Bukavu that we do not understand. You go to a gas station, they sell you a liter of gasoline for 3,300 FC, when you go to another station, the liter is sold for 3,500FC, 3,600FC, 3,970 Fc or even 4,000FC. So we do not understand anything anymore. We know that there is a price structure that the state has published, but given the situation we are experiencing in Bukavu, we are asking the Ministry of Economy to revise the price structure downwards so that we can buy the liter at 3,000FC," explained Mr. Mizo Kabare.

Therefore, LICOSKI has asked the Congolese government, through the Ministry of Economy, to review the pricing structure downwards, making it uniform in Bukavu. However, the South Kivu Petroleum Club says it is sticking to the price structure set by the Congolese government.
