Seven people have been reported missing following new attacks between the Armed Forces of the DRC (FARDC) and Mobondo militiamen on Thursday, March 21, 2024, in the village of Mpumiyo, near Kinsele on the RN 17 in the territory of Kwamouth in the Maï-Ndombe province.

Among these victims are more than seven soldiers and two other civilians, including a woman, a man, and an 11-year-old child.

The chief of the Masese village, in the territory of Kwamouth, has expressed the wish to see the Congolese government take the necessary steps to ensure that peace prevails.

These Mobondo militiamen, who have retreated to the point of Mizu, also attacked Mpumiyo in Kwamouth. They are along the river axis, occupying the villages of Nkomankiro and those located before the villages of Nkana and Menko.
