The African Football Confederation (CAF) has selected Congolese referee Rachel Nzigire Zihindula from the North Kivu Football League "LIFNOKI" to officiate at the 13th African Games (Ghana)-2024.

According to the CAF on the website of the African Football Confederation.

A CAF correspondence published on its website on Tuesday, following a working session.

In a correspondence published on its website on Tuesday, March 5, the CAF notes: "A list of 48 referees, including 24 referees (12 men and 12 women), and 24 assistant referees with 12 men and 12 women to officiate at the 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana."

24-year-old Rachel Zihindula began her career in 2016 at the Goma Urban Football Association (EUFGO). She has undergone several trainings at the local level. She officiated her first match between 2017 and 2018 at Goma's Unity Stadium.

However, dreaming of an international career, she participated in a training organized in Kinshasa. At the same time, she pursued an automotive training course at the National Institute of Vocational Training (INNP). That's why she explains in the media: "I wanted to be autonomous in my life, that's why I did this training so that by becoming a driver, I could now afford my training equipment and others... while intensifying work on my refereeing career," recalls Rachel Luhindula.

In 2022, Rachelle Zihindula is among the referees to officiate the 13th Congo Cup.

Her performances would attract the attention of the International Football Federation FIFA. It would name her among its referees with a notification to the North Kivu football league.

After Vanessa Sifa from Goma (who unfortunately no longer appears on this list), she thus becomes the second female "central" referee from North Kivu to reach this level, impressing everyone because of her undeniable talents.
