"We have just recorded at least four deaths over these two months. And how is it that animals will also execute us in such a way? We continue to call upon the ICCN which is supposed to protect the animals, the fauna, and the flora. Why has this animal become a threat against the population? There are no preventive measures so that we no longer have to suffer such unfortunate situations," expressed one of the residents of the locality who requested anonymity.

And to add:

"We are calling on the population to remain calm and protect themselves, even though it is quite difficult to protect oneself since almost all activities take place on the waters of Lake Edward. The activities of fishing, drawing water..., all these activities happen on the shores of Lake Edward."
