Early this morning, some elected representatives from the provinces were already present around the People's Palace for this Monday’s appointment. Coming from all the provinces of the DRC, these elected officials will participate in this plenary session that will lead to the establishment of the bureau of age by the Secretary-General of the National Assembly. This is in accordance with Article 114 of the Constitution.
Under the same provision, the provisional office will be chaired by the eldest member who could always be Christophe Mboso Nkodia, assisted by two of the youngest deputies including Emmanuel Bahati, son of the current president of the Senate. This new bureau will set up a special commission that will proceed with the verification of each deputy's files in preparation for the upcoming validation of their mandates.
