The report of clashes on Thursday, March 14, in Kinshasa between elements of the Armed Forces of the DRC (FARDC) and the Congolese National Police (PNC) indicates 4 injured and no deaths have been recorded.

A statement from the Provincial Police Commissariat of the City of Kinshasa specifies: "Four injuries were recorded on Thursday following a clash between police officers and soldiers on the avenue des poids lourds in the Limete commune."

According to the same source, there were four injuries, including three police officers and one soldier injured in the scuffles between the Police and FARDC elements on Thursday, March 14, in the Kawele neighborhood, better known as Pakadjuma, in the Limete commune.

Contrary to rumors circulating in public opinion, there were no deaths, according to this statement. "There were no deaths. The police officers have been hospitalized at a local hospital and the soldier at the Ndolo hospital center."

Deputy Division Commissioner Blaise Kilimbalimba and provincial commissioner of the Kinshasa city police explains that it all started with an attempt to arrest a police officer by the Military Police without going through his command. The perpetrators of these disturbances, he notes, have already been apprehended. The security force elements have returned to their barracks and traffic has returned to normal.

This is not the first time that policemen and FARDC and the police have clashed in this part of the capital.
