In his opening speech, Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi first of all reminded everyone of the reason for the establishment of free public primary education by the President of the Republic, which is to give all Congolese children the chance to attend school and, moreover, to ensure equality of opportunity.

"The Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo, through the Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education has put in place a major reform, that of the effective implementation of free public primary education by the firm will of Mr. President of the Republic, Head of State, His Excellency Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, to whom I pay my most respectful tributes," stated Minister Tony Mwaba Kazadi.

Then, Minister Tony Mwaba indicated the objective of this workshop, which is to assess the roadmap and reminded the participants that no relaxation can be tolerated in the exercise of their duties.

"As you can see, no relaxation can be tolerated in the exercise of your duties. That is why this evaluation workshop of the roadmap is organized for you to ensure that the objectives assigned to you for the fourth quarter of the year 2023 are met; the achievement of these objectives constitutes an indicator of your performance," he continued.

Recalling several innovations implemented by him in the management of the teachers' payroll, Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi indicated that during this workshop, it will also be a question of evaluating the level of appropriation of all related actions.

The Minister concluded his speech by reminding the provincial directors of DINACOPE that at the end of this workshop, "it will be a question of assigning you new objectives within the framework of a new roadmap for the period of January to July 2024".

Before the Minister's intervention, the Secretary General of EPST, Christine Nepa Nepa, had delivered the welcome speech to those present, while thanking Minister Tony Mwaba Kazadi for his readiness to support all the services of his ministry.

It should be noted that these evaluation workshops will run from January 27 to 29, 2024.
