While Moïse Katumbi was addressing his supporters in Moanda in the Kongo-Central province, unidentified individuals disrupted the crowd listening to candidate number 3. Following stone-throwing, the Congolese National Police (PNC) fired shots.

According to Africa News, multiple cases of serious injuries were recorded. One of Moïse Katumbi's close guards, struck in the head, has been admitted to a health center.

"In Moanda, live bullets and stone throwing to prevent Moïse Katumbi from holding his rally with the people. A detailed report will follow. This is a crude mistake by a desperate power, which has failed," announced Hervé Diakiese, spokesperson for the political party Together for the Republic.

Africa News adds that the meeting of Moïse Katumbi was initially banned by the mayor of Boma.

"Megaphones deployed all night to discourage the population from welcoming candidate 3. Prohibition of installing the podium. An impromptu match at the stadium where the event was planned. Tenacious, Moïse Katumbi was able to hold his meeting in the middle of the street, in front of the people who were waiting for him and marched alongside him," Africa News reports on its account X.
