The agonies suffered by the defenseless populations of the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo in general, and those of the territories of Rutshuru, Masisi, and Nyirangongo in particular, deeply sadden the first lady, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi.

This donation consists of bags of sugar, milk, maize, semolina, salt, as well as jerrycans of oil and tarps for people living in the Mudja camp about ten kilometers from the town of Goma, in the North Kivu province.

Answering this urgent call of the victims of the monstrous Rwandan aggression, Denise Nyakeru has shown her compassionate side by providing a comprehensive response to the varied needs of the displaced children, women, men, and families.

It is worth noting that the FDNT works closely with the National Fund for Reparation of Victims of Sexual Violence and Victims of Crimes against the Peace and Security of Humanity (FONAREV) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
