The Inspector General of the FARDC is conducting a physical check of the armed forces personnel in the second defense zone which includes the provinces of Haut-Katanga and Lualaba. In Lubumbashi, he was received by the governor of Haut-Katanga, Jacques Kyabula Katwe, in his office.
Army General Amisi, known as "Tango Fort," extended his greetings to Governor Kyabula while explaining the reason for his trip to this part of the Republic. It is about physically identifying the FARDC personnel in order to prevent any planned disturbances by enemies of peace in the DRC during this election period and ensure territorial integrity.
His mission will also take him to the city of Likasi before heading to Kolwezi and Kamina. It is worth noting that this military region is now under the command of Eddy Kapend, a former colonel of the FARDC who was exceptionally promoted to the rank of brigadier general by Félix Tshisekedi and entrusted with the responsibility of the 22nd military region, which includes Haut-Katanga.
