Congolese women, at the end of a peace march starting from the Central Station of Kinshasa to the Palais de la Nation in the Gombe commune on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, through the Minister of Gender, Family and Child, Mireille Masangu Bibi Muloko, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic André Wameso.

This march saw organized participation by this ministry, involving several hundred women and young girls from public and private institutions, public administration, civil society organizations, religious confessions, trade unions, and political parties.

Men engaged in positive masculinity were also part of the event.

In their memo, Congolese women denounced and condemned the expansionist tendencies of Rwanda in the implementation of the replacement theory already underway and the illicit exploitation of the lands and natural resources of the DRC.

The Minister of Gender took this opportunity to denounce the complicity of the international community represented by the United States of America, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Poland for having sided with the oppressors and their immoral policy of supporting the aggressors of the DRC on one side and inappropriate humanitarian responses on the other.

"As long as there is war in the east of the country, women will always rise up to march, denounce the war and encourage the government to take its responsibilities so that peace may reign throughout the country and provide unwavering support to the armed forces and to the Congolese national police, as well as to the security services for the sacrifice they make in defending the homeland," she pointed out.
