Initially planned in 2021, the African Cup of the nations will take place by January-February 2022 always in Cameroun. As for the African Championship of nations (CHAN), it will not take place any more this year, but rather the next year, probably in April.
The Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo are qualified with this final phase after having missed the last edition disputed in Morocco.
The female African Cup of the nations, in addition, is straightforwardly cancelled. However, the executive committee of the CAF decided the creation of a League of the champions for the female clubs by 2021.
The male League of the champions which stopped at the level of the quarterfinals will play in Cameroun, in a single turn, until the final. Even method for the Cup of the Confederation, except that it will be held in Morocco. No congolese club is in the race in this two inter club competitions.
