Indeed, the health of the former captain of Tout-Puissant Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rainford Kalaba, is improving after suffering a serious road accident on Saturday, April 13th, between Kafue and Lusaka, in Zambia. The doctors who received him initially placed him in an induced coma, and according to their reports, there are signs of improvement that are reassuring the sports community.

These reports add that he has regained consciousness and has begun to regain the use of his limbs, which indicates a positive development in his health status, according to the University Teaching Hospital.

However, access to the intensive care unit where the star is hospitalized remains strictly limited, except for his mother, who is allowed to visit him tirelessly, apart from the medical staff. This is to avoid any form of congestion and to ensure optimal conditions for his good health recovery.

Declared dead by the emergency responders who took him to the hospital, Rainford Kalaba ultimately survived this terrible collision with a tractor-trailer. His friend who was driving the vehicle died instantly.
