With his African peers in Abuja, he deplored the harmful role played by corruption which constitutes a major obstacle to the development of African countries. "Any development effort will be annihilated if corruption remains," before saying determined to seize opportunity that could pull the DRC out of the current situation. That's why he does not hesitate to answer all the appointments where the DRC is claimed.

"I am fighting for peace and security. Because without them, the State will see its authority banished...", he said. Organized by the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), the largest advocate of entrepreneurship in Africa, this forum has seen the participation of key decision makers, business leaders, development agencies and the entire ecosystem of entrepreneurship, provided an opportunity for young women and men of 54 African countries to meet, learn and network within the vast African and global business ecosystem.

It was also an opportunity for the African entrepreneurs, to meet closely and directly with political leaders at the highest level of the state to testify the importance of the role that the public authorities can and must play to catalyze the growth and encourage business ambition.

Tony Elumelu invited to the 5th edition of the Makutano Forum in the DRC The President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, in his speech to several Heads of State and a panoply of leading African personalities, hailed the initiator of this Forum, Tony Elumelu, before inviting him to the 5th edition of the Forum Makutano initiated in the DRC. He also wished to see such meetings multiply in order to allow African leaders to know each other and act in synergy to boost the development of the continent.

According to the Head of State, nearly 500 heads of company, leaders of opinion, institutions, private and public actors of 20 African and international countries are invited to take part+, from 6 to September 7, 2019 in Kinshasa, with 5th edition of the Makutano Forum. They go, on this occasion, to exchange on the innovating levers necessary to the growth like with the competitiveness of the DRC. The meeting will be centered around concrete and strategic sets of themes with knowing: Artificial intelligence, climatic change, transition energy, durable economy, etc.
