The AU Heads of State and Government present at the 32nd AU Commission, held from 10 to 11 February2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, welcomed the democratic transfer of power in the DRC, during the talks they had with President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo. Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara, the first to meet Felix Antoine Tshisekedi, congratulated his Congolese counterpart, whose democratic struggle he recognizes. The Equatorial Guinean President, Theodore Obiang Nguema, who is also looking forward to working closely with the DRC, said he has engaged with the Congolese President to work closely within the framework of the Central African sub region.

The Guinean President, Alpha Conde, meanwhile, made the same commitment to strengthen cooperation with the DRC. The African Union's first vice-president and traditional partner of the DRC, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa had also a long discussion with Felix Antoine Tshisekedi, 2nd Vice-President of the AU Office. The new impetus for the AU under their mandate and the bilateral cooperation issues between the DRC and South Africa were at the center of their talks. The outgoing President of the AU, now reporter Paul Kagame of Rwanda has welcomed the return of the DRC within the AU office. For nearly an hour, he and his Congolese counterpart reviewed issues of good neighborliness and open cooperation between their States.

President Uhuru Kenyata said he continues to support the DRC for its economic development and political stability. Mrs. Michel Bachelet, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights affirmed at the end of the hearing that granted him President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, that his organization is committed to accompany the DRC to improve the human rights issue. On Sunday, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi held his speech as elected President of the DRC. He thanked his peers, praised the political alternation, warned sponsors of armed groups and spoke of the willingness to cooperate with trade parliamentarians of the DRC.

Meanwhile, the diplomatic adviser of former Head of State Joseph Kabila Kabang Kikay, a Bin Karupi, welcomed the appointment of Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, as the second vice-president of the African Union (AU), on Sunday February 10, 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the occasion of the 32nd meeting of this continental organization "Congratulation President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo for your election as 2nd vice-presidence of the AU", acclaimed the Congolese diplomat, before continuing "We will met in two years for a summit of the continental organization in Kinshasa and you will be on the roof of Africa".
