Never have these terrorists been so close to the capital of North Kivu since the outbreak of the war. In their strategy to seize the city of Goma, the M23-RDF have undertaken to cut it off from its main supply centers. This is in order to isolate and suffocate it, to starve the population.
It is with this in mind that Goma was cut off from Sake, a major supply center which also gives it access to the neighboring province of South Kivu.
Since last Saturday, M23 terrorists have erected a barrier at the level of Shasha village, thus taking control of the Goma-Sake-Minova road axis.
Clearly, Kigali seeks at all costs to take Goma through its M23 proxies, to force Kinshasa into the negotiations it has always categorically refused.
