Nearly 235,000 finalists of the primary school take an examination this Wednesday of French and general culture of the national Test of the end of primary studies (TENAFEP) in the town of Kinshasa. On the total 103,694 girls including 131,645 boys sit for examination. These tests proceed through all the democratic Republic of Congo. They intervene after approximately 5 months of interruption of the courses. The government decided of re-entry only, for the moment, of the finalist pupils, in particular those of 6th year of humanities.

In spite of the difficulty to finish school program in this year disturbed by the pandemia of new coronavirus which struck the world but also the DRC since March 10, 2020, the minister of supervision reassures as for the reliability of these tests. For Willy Bakonga, minister of State in charge of secondary and technical primary Education (EPST), "the certificate which will leave these tests is qualified and has all its value"

The TENAFEP will end Thursday August 27. At the second day, the finalists will be subjected to the science and mathematics tests. This new calendar of the ministry in charge of the EPST fixes the end of the current school year (2019-2020) to September 10, 2020. Certain trade unions of the teachers had already suggested to the minister the date of the new school re-entry fixed at October 5, 2020.
