Presidential candidate number 21 for the Presidential election of December 20, 2023, Martin Fayulu, last Sunday, December 31, rejected the interim results of the election for these public offices published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI).

"Everyone knows that Mr. Tshisekedi cannot, under any circumstances, win an election organized in the DRC. That's why I reject the election results published by the CENI," Martin Fayulu affirmed.

In a declaration to the nation, Martin Fayulu accused the president of the CENI of being at the service of one single person and called on the Congolese to "protest against this new coup d'état executed by the CENI in favor of Mr. Félix Tshisekedi Tshilombo."

"Do not accept this new coup d'état. We must resist as Article 64 of the Constitution requires us to," he insisted, additionally requesting the organization of new elections to resolve this crisis of legitimacy.
Some opposition members have deemed that the elections were not regularly organized.

For Martin Fayulu, "We need new elections, elections that are credible, transparent, peaceful, and impartial."
