After the fire at the Plastico Do Sol factory, the workers and executives of this plant are sounding the alarm to the Government for assistance.

"We are asking the government to assist the Plastico Do Sol factory, as it is the only source of livelihood for us," pleaded the employees of this company. The fire lasted 24 hours, causing enormous material damage without any loss of human life, and also affected neighboring houses to the factory.

The workers highlighted that there are more than six hundred of them. This situation could lead to the technical layoff of this staff.

Furthermore, they assert that their Plastico Do Sol factory lacked the appropriate fire extinguishers needed to extinguish the fire in order to protect, in particular, the foams, other plastic objects, poultry feed, and so many other materials.

The fire was sparked by a spark during adjustment work in a warehouse. The fire started to burn the plastic chairs until they ran out of the possibility to control the fire.

The workers have made it known that the firefighters were not able to control the fire, which began on Wednesday and ended on Thursday.
