This civil society actor thus accused the authorities of North Kivu of not having taken into account the socio-economic and security conditions of the province before setting this date.

"When you look at the situation in Masisi, Rutshuru, Beni, and elsewhere, the provincial authority itself is a witness to everything that is happening there. All these situations do not put parents in good working conditions and they will not be able to afford these fees. They are schooling their children with a lot of difficulties," he declared.

Samuel Kakule also called on the governor of this province to reduce these fees "given the security situation which does not allow parents to easily gather this colossal sum."

Compared to the 2023 edition, these fees for participating in the state examination have been increased by 36,000 Congolese francs, that is 13 USD to 50 dollars.
