The goal for this second phase, he explained, is to introduce new techniques for management, by resorting to grafting, that is, the replacement of the skin.

"This second phase also aims to raise awareness among patients suffering from this challenging disease known as Mbasu, and to also educate healthcare professionals. The results obtained during the first phase are encouraging, and so in this second campaign, we will continue with innovations, offering new management techniques, including training in grafting, for the doctors who are treating the patients," detailed Doctor Jean-Paul Lembe Lembe.

Therefore, the campaign will also take on the task of raising awareness among healthcare workers in detecting the main pathology of this disease, by encouraging patients to get diagnosed as early as possible.
