Participants will be informed about the progress of these SADC missions, deployed to provide support to the governments of the DRC and Mozambique, with the aim of restoring peace, security, stability, and paving the way for sustainable development within the sub-region, states the Communication Unit of the Congolese Presidency.

It should be noted that about a dozen Heads of State representing the Troika of the Organ, namely Zambia, Tanzania, and Namibia; the SADC Troika consisting of Angola, Zimbabwe, and the DRC, as well as the contributing countries of personnel to SAMIM (SADC Mission in Mozambique) and SAMIRDC (SADC Mission in the DRC) are taking part in this high-level meeting.

Shortly before, this summit was preceded by a series of meetings of military experts and SADC ministers.

Following the President of the Republic, the presence of VPM Jean-Pierre Bemba (Defense) and Christophe Lutundula (Foreign Affairs), the High Representative Serge Tshibangu, the Chief of General Staff of the FARDC, General of armies Christian Tshiwewe, and other experts are part of the presidential delegation at this Lusaka summit.
