The President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, is about to address the nation momentarily at the National Assembly and the Senate, convened in Congress at the People's Palace to deliver his annual speech on the state of the nation, in accordance with Articles 77, 119, 120, and 121 of the Constitution. This speech is the last of his first five-year term as head of state.

Several government members, representatives of religious denominations, ambassadors, and other members of the diplomatic corps have participated in this event.

In accordance with the internal regulations of Congress, the President of the Republic’s speech will be broadcast live on RTNC and will not be the subject of any debate at the parliamentary level.
