The award ceremony for this prize took place in the presence of the ambassadors of France, Mr. Bruno Aubert, and of Germany, Ingo Herbert.
According to these two diplomats, this prestigious Franco-German Human Rights and Rule of Law Prize is a well-deserved recognition of Ms. Anny Modi's fight for women's rights and dignity.
"This prize will serve as a source of motivation, inspiration, and a reminder of my commitment to protect and defend the rights of the most vulnerable people in our society in general, and women and young girls in particular," suggested Anny Modi.
It is appropriate to note that several personalities and activists attended the official award ceremony for Mrs. Modi. These included the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and head of MONUSCO, Ms. Bintou Keita, the human rights defender, Julienne Lusenge, as well as other female activists.
