The Central Bank of Congo (BCC) released on Wednesday its economic situation report for the week of March 9 to 15, 2024, which reveals that the revenues of the Democratic Republic of the Congo were valued at 944.2 billion Congolese Francs. The same source further explains that these revenues were generated particularly by the Financial Administrations in the amount of 824.0 billion CDF.

“As of March 15, 2024, the monitoring table of the financial situation of the State, prepared by the Central Bank of Congo, indicates that the public revenues amount to 944.2 billion CDF. These are composed of revenues mainly from the financial administrations at the level of 824.0 billion CDF,” was read in the economic situation report of the Central Bank of Congo.

These revenues, according to the same source, mainly come from the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) and the General Directorate of Customs and Excise (DGDA), with respective amounts of 439.1 billion CDF and 270.4 billion CDF. As for the revenues mobilized by the General Directorate of Administrative, Judicial, Estate and Participation Revenue (DGRAD), they reached 114.5 billion CDF.

Regarding the executed expenditures, the BCC’s economic situation report signals that they amount to a total of 798.4 billion CDF, or 50.8% in relation to the monthly programming, before explaining that these expenditures were primarily allocated to the remuneration of state agents and officials as well as to the operating expenses of institutions and ministries.
