In a presidential order read, in the Congolese National Radio and television (RTNC), by the spokesman of the president of the Republic, Tharcisse Kasongo Mwema Yamba Yamba, Felix Tshisekedi named the lieutenant-General Johnny Luboya Nkashama at the military post of governor of the province of North-Kivu. He is assisted by the vice-governor, the police chief Benjamin Alonga Boni.

At the Ituri side, the other province in state of siege, the congolese president placed the lieutenant-General Constant Ndima Kongba as military governor. He was, before this function, head of deputy general staff in charge of the administration and logistics within the army. He is supported by the police chief, Ekuka Lipopo, as assistant governor.

These military authorities take up duty this Thursday May 6, day of the effective day of the beginning of the state of siege proclaimed last Monday 3 May.
