The extension of the national Institute of biomedical research will be installed soon in the town of Goma, located in the province of North-Kivu, to diagnose the possible samples of Coronavirus.

Cathy Nzanzu Kasivita, governor of the province of North-Kivu, announced last Thursday during inspection visit in the installations where the extension of laboratory will be installed.

The aim in view is not only to facilitate the monitoring of all the diseases, but also to diagnose of possible case of coronavirus in two Kivu as Ituri.

The governor of the province of North-Kivu, underlined that this laboratory is a gift of Dr. Jean Jacques Muyembe, before thanking Dr. Jean Jacques Muyembe, for the efforts provided within the framework of population protection to reinforce the health system.

Nzanzu Kasivita in addition pointed out that the province of Ituri recorded last Thursday its first confirmed case of coronavirus, a case which was allotted by error to the province of North-Kivu.
