The judoka Prince Samuzu, in the category of less than 100 Kg, was the first Congolese to win, on August 18, a bronze medal. Taekwondo athlete Flore Babu just did the same thing in the category under 46 kilos.

A week from the end of these 25th African Games held in Rabat and Casablanca since August 18, the harvest is very low for Congolese athletes. The goal of doing better than the last African Games in Brazzaville (15 medals) will be difficult to achieve at this pace. In Maputo, in 2011, the DRC brought back only seven medals.

These 12th African Games will close on August 31st. They bring together approximately 6,396 athletes representing 54 African countries members of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).
