President Denis Sassou-Nguesso of Congo Brazzaville reassures the elected new President Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo of his "availability" to strengthen ties between Brazzaville and Kinshasa, in a congratulatory message addressed to him on Wednesday. "I would like to assure you of my full willingness to work, with your excellence, to strengthen the secular and multiform relationships that unite our two countries", he said.
Several States, regional and international organizations welcomed the election of Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo in particular, the African Union, the European Union, France, Belgium, Egypt, Algeria, Burundi, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya and the Republic of Congo.
