I give the maximum, the coach and the team trust me, I have this role of leader in the team, I try to do the maximum, to give myself both offensively and defensively», declared Yoane Wissa after DRC’s qualification to the semi-finals.

And to add: «I am where I am needed, attack, midfield, defense, no matter. When the country calls on me, I must be present, I am so proud of my team and especially proud to be Congolese tonight». Named «man of the match» of the DRC - Guinea game on Friday, February 2 at the Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium in Ebimpé, Ivory Coast, Yoane Wissa contributed to the Leopards’ victory with a goal scored from penalty and creating numerous other opportunities.

According to him, this trophy is the result of the entire team's work and the outcome of the national team’s long-standing hard work. The match between the Leopards and the Syli national from Guinea ended with a score of 3-1. Hence, DRC has qualified for the semi-final of the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) currently taking place in Ivory Coast.
