According to this decree, the price of land-based fuels in the West supply zone of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) will increase at the pump from 3,225.00 FC to 3,475.00 FC per liter (equivalent to 1.3900 USD).

The same ministerial document indicates that the price of a liter of diesel, previously sold for 3,215.00 FC, will now be negotiated at 3,465.00 FC (equivalent to 1.3860 USD), the price of kerosene will rise from 2,650.00 FC to 2,900.00 FC (equivalent to 1.1600 USD), and Fomi will be sold for 2,084.00 FC (equivalent to 0.8336 USD) instead of 2,005.24 FC.

Moreover, a liter of gasoline is set at 4,220.00 FC in the North zone, the price of gasoline will increase from 3,970.00 FC to 4,220.00 FC (equivalent to 1.6880 USD) at a rate of 2,500 FC, the price of kerosene from 3,200.00 FC to 3,460.00 FC (equivalent to 1.3800 USD), and diesel from 4,020.00 FC to 4,270.00 FC (equivalent to 1.7080 USD), clarified the acting Minister of the National Economy, in the same decree.

The North supply zone consists of the cities of Mbandaka, Kisangani, Aketi, Bumba, and the territory of Akula.

The West zone is comprised of the provinces of Equateur, Kongo Central, Kwango, Kwilu, Mai-Ndombe, Mongala, Nord-Ubangi, Sud-Ubangi, Tshuapa, the city of Kinshasa, and Boende.

The last revision of the fuel prices took place in October 2023. The new tariff grid for petroleum products in these West and North supply zones will come into effect Thursday, April 25, 2024.
